Shortest. Unemployment. Ever.

Well, shortly after being axed by the Capitals, Bruce Boudreau has already found employment as the new head coach of the Anaheim Ducks who gave Randy Carlyle his walking papers. I didn't expect to see Boudreau available for long and the Ducks took him. Now it is a matter if he can turn the struggling Ducks around and see if he can turn around this horrible streak they are on.

So for those of you who are paying attention, that is four coaches that have been given their walking papers, and I think it is only a matter of time before we see another one go. I think it is going to be either in Colombus, Calgary, or Colorado with an outside chance to the Islanders.

On to some other ramblings around the league.

Canuck forward mason Raymond makes his return tonight after fracturing a vertebrae in the Stanley Cup Finals in game 6 on what some deem a dirty hit (I don't, just awkward positioning when hitting the boards). It is nice to see him back and hopefully has an impact.

There has been a lot of rumblings about Bobby Ryan being traded from the Ducks if they continue to suck the way they have. Honestly, it would be a bad move for the Ducks if it did happen because it would be hard for them to get fair value for him as he is a first line player and potential superstar in the game and those are n't exactly a dime a dozen.

Getting back to the Canucks, Cory Schneider is making his 7th straight start leaving Roberto Luongo on the bench again. Honestly I can understand where Coach V is coming from as Schenider on the current 5 game win streak has damn near impossible to get a goal on and Vaigneault is riding the hot goalie, like anybody else would. However, if Schneider keeps going like this, Bobby Lou could become expendable and you have to wonder if they could trade Luongo due to his no trade clause.

That is all I have for now, so until next time, keep your stick on the ice.
