I was looking through an MMA forum earlier today that had a link to an interview of boxing promoter Bob Arum. An interview that was being conducted by a sports broadcaster that was a fan of boxing and MMA. In the interview Arum rips MMA saying that MMA fighters have no jaw, can't throw a punch to save their life, and roll around on the ground like a bunch of homosexuals. He then goes on to claim that the UFC is not a public company and are fudging the numbers on the pay-per-view buys of their events claiming UFC 100 did not do 1.7 million buys and further goes onto say that he believes didn't even do 1 million buys.
Bob Arum has completely lost my respect, by making up stuff and making uneducated statements on MMA and saying that the Fertitta's and Dana White are lying on the PPV buys and making the comments about the MMA fighters that are typical of someone who has not watched a MMA fight since UFC 6.
I also have to give props for the guy conducting interview with Bob Arum for just deciding to avoid any questions with MMA because Bob Arum was making uneducated statements about MMA and decided to just strictly talk about boxing with the guy.
So, in conclusion, Bob Arum, go to a MMA bout and see what actually happens you moron, you'll understand why MMA is cutting into your profits, it exciting and has promoters who aren't corrupt like you and Don King.
