I have been watching hockey all season and one thing has become very apparent to me. The Vancouver Canucks are absolutely slimmed by all the media outlets that have a national coverage. Whether I am watching TSN or CBC, they always are discrediting the Vancouver Canucks one way or another. This has been apparent for a very long time, and was made painfully apparent right after the Alexandre Burrows-Stephane Auger incident.
This is also not just a new trend. During the first round of the 1994 Stanley Cup Playoffs between Calgary and Vancouver, the only team you would have been aware of was the Calgary Flames and how the announcers were drooling over them. The Canucks were an after thought and even after they got passed the Flames they were still being pissed on by CBC because the Toronto Maple Leafs were still in and was all Ron MacLean wanted to talk about.
I don't know where this came from or due to the fact that the best commentators for a team that does local feeds that has had multiple announcers and they are jealous but this should stop. They are a Canadian team and should be treated the same way Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, or Calgary is treated, not some bastard child.
